About Us

Every student deserves a chance. A chance at education. A chance at community. And a chance at a brighter, better future.

Bright Futures is a community-based mentorship and outreach program that aims to provide that chance to high-school-aged students living in Winnipeg's Elwick and Watson Street neighbourhoods.

Run outside regular school hours, the Bright Futures education program supports low-income students earning credits towards graduation and developing life skills through tutoring, career exploration, community mentorship and community service. Students who visit Bright Futures engage in their communities and work together to set goals and reach their full potential.

The program is supported by a funding partnership between the Province of Manitoba, The Winnipeg Foundation and Seven Oaks School Division and directed by a steering committee comprised of community members interested in supporting youth achievement and life enhancement.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like to learn more about how you can contribute to the program either by email or at 204-631-5849 (ext 3278).
